It's the highest endorsement amount ever received by a Bollywood star u2014 almost Rs 20 crore more than the previous big earners. The amount goes to one of the 3 Idiots, Aamir Khan. The star has reportedly been offered Rs 35 crore to endorse a UAE-based telecom service provider for a period of two years.
Given Khan's track record, and the emphasis he places on his image and any product he endorses, the amount isn't that surprising. What makes it interesting is the fact that other Bollywood biggies fall far behind. Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar all reportedly charge between Rs 12 crore and Rs 15 crore for their endorsement deals. Aamir has stayed within this range too u2014 until now.
Interestingly, while he hasn't confirmed this report, the actor hasn't denied it either.
As for Bollywood's female stars, they don't come close. Apparently, Priyanka Chopra, Kareena Kapoor and Katrina Kaif all charge between Rs 2 crore and Rs 4 crore per endorsement deal.
